“ This is such a unique experience in Brooklyn. We stumbled upon this hidden gem randomly and are so happy we did :) You first remove your shoes at the door, which adds to the intimate ambiance. It's like walking into a private art studio, where you get to eat and drink, with beautiful artwork on the walls and comfortable floor seating. The menu is also very interesting, with so many flavors to choose from, that all tie in so well together. They also have many drink options from alcoholic to non alcoholic. Highly recommend the infused sakes and banana milk teas. This little gem is definitely worth the visit and I'm positive the creative and relaxing atmosphere would make you want to return! :) Just call or check in advance since seating is limited. ”

“ What a cozy and relaxing spot. The space is huge and artsy, but it only seats about 6-10 people, likely because they only have 1-2 employees. Note: You have to take off your shoes before making your way to your table. I love their large selection of drinks, regardless of whether you're craving something boozy or not. Sake slushes, tea-infused sakes, tea lattes, hot chocolates, banana milk... go wild. Their banana milk hojicha was delicious, not too sweet with the right amount of creaminess. The hojicha hot chocolate was also good, although they ran out of the white chocolate it came with, and had to use the regular milk chocolate. The main dishes were huge and delicious. I got the maple ginger salmon, while my friend got the yuzu turmeric chicken. My salmon was incredibly tender and flavorful, and went so well with the slightly vinegary hijiki brown rice. Both platters came with a hefty portion of perfectly marinated and seasoned vegetables, from salads to lightly panko crusted and fried veggies to crisp raw veggies with a peanut dressing. The warm lighting and soothing ambience really put me at ease, and not once did I feel rushed. I would definitely return, whether to try more food options or just to get a drink and decompress for a bit. ”

“ This is a small tea and sake oasis in Park Slope. They create an air of exclusivity by locking the door at all times. Only those with reservations are allowed inside and you can only eat inside if you're drinking sake or ordering food. You must remove your shoes before entering, even just to use the bathroom. They also do not allow laptops inside. Otherwise, there is a window for ordering and two small tables outside to sit. This set up is understandable, but I imagine they lose quite a bit of business because there was only one employee working the window. Any time he stepped away and people tried to open the door and found it locked, they would just leave. We thankfully planned ahead and made a reservation, so we sat inside. We were the only ones there on a Sunday at 4:30. They were playing jazz and melodic r&b music. They had about three tables with seating on the floor. One set of seats had backs and the other was just a cushion. So if you have back issues or trouble sitting on the floor, this would not be the place for you. To drink, I had the deep blue dream sake slush. It consisted of shaved ice chips made of sake and flavorings. I was expecting it to be fruity and sweet, but it was actually a bit bitter. I'm glad I tried it for the novelty, but I would not order it again. My partner got the bewitching night sake cocktail. It was juicy and the fresh berry flavor definitely came through. Both drinks were quite strong. Service was not the best, as there was only one person working. Still, it felt very peaceful and zen in the space and we were able to relax and make the most of it. They have quite an extensive menu of cocktails and teas, including sake-infused varieties, so it might be worth a return trip to try something else next time. ”

“ This tea house is such a perfect place to connect. It's small, the tea, sake, and food menu is more expansive than most nyc tea houses. Patrons remove their shoes and sit on a cushion. The ambiance is so relaxing and calm. It's extremely limited seating so highly recommend a reservation to ensure you'll be seated. The tea and food was delicious ”

“ The banana hojicha drink is delicious! I initially thought it was going to taste like the Korean banana milk drink. It doesn't - but still tastes good! The food also tastes very nutritious and healthy, but yummy! The rice unexpectedly was the best part of the dish lol. I also recommend getting the mochi appetizer too because those were pretty fun to try. We had two dogs so we couldn't go inside but when I went in to use the bathroom, the interior looks very artsy. There are only two tables for outdoors so it's pretty small. Not recommended for big groups. ”

“ My husband and I were intrigued with the banana milk drinks so we had to try them. When we got to the cafe, they had a nice outdoor space but had only 2 tables (luckily we got one). There was a sign on the door that said indoor seatings were only for customers who are eating or ordering sake. We ended up choosing the Matcha banana milk and the hojicha banana milk since it was later in the day. Otherwise we would have chosen the cold brew! The hojicha one was good, but because the banana milk/purée was thicker it didn't mix well and I was left with the banana at the end. It worked well because the hojicha is more bitter so they complimented each other. My husband got the matcha, and we felt like it wasn't as good as the hojicha because the matcha had a lighter flavor. Service was good and drinks were unique! ”

“ We caught the owner just as he was closing up, but he let us order two drinks to go. The Hoji Cha Tea Latte was great, but the Yuzu Ginger Lemon Tea--while chock full of generous helpings of fresh ginger and lemon pulp--was a bit too pungent after a while. Wish we could've stayed and soaked in the artsy interiors, but that'll have to wait for another time. ”

“ The hours were incorrect on Yelp the first time I came around, but I'm glad I decided to stop by when it was open. The banana milk hojicha was for the most part, delicious. It didn't mix easily, so I mostly drank it as two separate beverages. The hojicha was strong, and there was no sweetness. However, the banana milk added enough sugar to it. They really took the time to make the drink. The person who took my order/served my drink was nice. It was a cold day, so he made sure to let me know the drink would be cold before I settled on it. ”

“ This place has been in my yelp list for many months, but I finally got to try it. First, the interior of this place is beautiful. I love the sit-down floor chairs and the simplicity of the place. Nice music, and the energy of this place was so serene and comfortable. Second, the food was amazing as well. My friend and I ordered one small dish, the Mochi pizza, and two big dishes to share. All of them were beautifully crafted, and they tasted sooo good. All the fish were so soft and melted in our mouth, and the seasonings were just great. The drinks we ordered were spot on too. We got the sake slushee and the banana milk hojicha. Both exceeded our expectations -- we are definitely coming back to try all the other flavors. The owner of this place was also super nice. The place is beautiful. There seems to be space for live music as well, which I am super interested in! ”

“ This is a hidden gem in Gowanus. We stopped by for tea and coffee on a Wednesday afternoon and was amazing by the selection of teas, coffees, sakes. We tried the Banana Milk Coffee and an ice Tulsi tea- both done to perfection. It's a intimate space with three tables, a window to order, and gorgeous decor, modeled after the Japanese concept of Chinju no Mori (Sacred Shrine Forest). ”
